Mrs. Kolesar’s Science Quizlets
On the menu bar at the top click “Homework.”Homework for the current week is listed at the top if you are using a laptop or the upper left-hand button if using a phone or tablet. If there is a Quizlet, the link will be the Quizlet’s name (e.g. click on “Animal Cell Parts”). Click the link and a new window will open. The Quizlet page opens to a slide show/flash cards that the students can use to study or they may select one of the games along the left side to “practice”. Once they have gone through all of the flash cardsand feel ready, they should click “Test” to the left of the slides. (If using a phone or tablet, games and test buttons appear below the flashcards.)A quiz will open. Do not take the quiz until you change the options. To the left of the quiz click “Options” and a box will pop up. (On the phone, the button does not say “options” but appears in the upper right-hand corner as 3 strings with beads on them) The box has 4 question types: written, matching, multiple choice, and true/false. Please make sure that only matching and multiple choice are checked and that the maximum questions are being shown on the right hand side, then click the teal “create new test” button. Now students can take the quiz. Once they have answered all questions, click “check answers” at the bottom of the page. It will check all answers, let you know which are wrong, tell you the correct answer for each, and provide a percentage score on the left side. If they score 100%, take a screen shot of the test and either print it or e-mail it to Mrs. Kolesar ([email protected]) or your child may show me the screen shot in class on the due date. If they score less than 100% they can retake the quiz as many times as needed to get to 100%. Use the correct answers as a guide when taking the quiz again.
